Shakedown at Silverstone
Ben’s thoughts:
It was a fun day out in the pouring rain getting used to the handling and responses of the car after being out of the seat for almost 4 months. At the same time, learning the ways of Oldfield Motorsport in terms of the way the team works in order to get me to drive and perform better!
Shakedowns are purely for testing the car ahead of the new season to ensure its fully prepared and ready for the racing season. Which was shown as there was some technical difficulties in the morning meaning I had very little running until the afternoon, which I’d rather have the technical problems in a shakedown vs the real thing. Exactly what we do this for!
Accompanying me for the day was Wes from the Ox Unleashed crew taking videos and making them into a great feature on Ox Unleashed livestream the following week.
